| Dstl does not engage in work that
can be done outside Government and therefore does not compete for business
with Industry, nor do we undertake commercial work unless specifically
tasked by the MOD.
In cases where our work has potential for exploitation for the benefit
of the nation, our intellectual property is handled by Ploughshare
Innovations Limited, our technology transfer company. This leaves
our experts free to concentrate on providing solutions to sensitive
science and technology problems within Government. We can, however,
advise MOD when issuing commercial contracts to ensure that industry
are focusing on the real issues and remain on-track throughout the project.
