Dstl’s policy statement for CSR:
“Dstl recognises the importance of behaving responsibly towards
people and the environment. Our aim is to act in a positive way in our
dealings with our staff, customers, suppliers and the local community.
In doing so, we shall behave with integrity and minimise the negative
impact on the environment and our stakeholders. We will measure our
performance and publicise the results”
Dstl is focused on four core areas, the community, the workplace, the
environment and its ethics. Current projects include: supplying all
employees with a recycled, reusable glass to reduce plastic cup usage;
increasing recycling points across all of our sites; raising the awareness
of using recycled paper and turning off power points at the end of the
day. Dstl aims to reduce business travel by utilising videoconferencing
equipment and piloting an inter-site car sharing scheme.
Dstl’s major CSR achievements to date are in Education
and Conservation.
