The following case studies capture the recent and on-going research and
advice conducted by Dstl.

Support to operations

Scientific Advisors (SCIADs) from Dstl, embedded in operational theatres, enable science and technology to be brought to bear on urgent operational problems and provide the commanders with access to key decision support tools.

Electric Armour

The MOD has tasked Dstl to reduce the weight and bulk of armoured vehicles, making them 70% lighter and 50% smaller over the coming two decades.
