Dstl’s Environmental Sciences Department provides the capability for the Ministry of Defence to manage, monitor and control its environmental, chemical weapons demilitarisation and radiological hazards. The Department’s capabilities include radiation detection, radiological protection, and environmental protection. They are experts in chemical weapons demilitarisation, toxic and secure waste disposal and engineering prototype and support.
