Land Battlespace Systems’ expertise supports our military forces in areas such as close combat, long-range enemy suppression, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, force protection and survivability, logistics, and future capability development. The Department’s impartial advice and the insights it provides have a direct impact on the outcome of military operations and increasingly on the decisions made by the rest of Government. The Department has close links with military colleagues, especially in the Army, who help it to maintain its understanding of military doctrine, current and future operations, future equipment and systems and the complex nature of the rapidly evolving threat to our Armed Forces.
