The Security Sciences Department’s primary focus is support to counter-terrorism and special forces, covering a broad range of science and technology, for the Ministry of Defence and Other Government Departments. The Department’s specific capabilities include electronic and electro-optic surveillance, explosive engineering and information operations.  It offers expertise in explosives forensics, pyrotechnics countermeasures and micro-engineered mechanical systems. It also specialises in rapid prototyping and threat exploitation.
