Scholarships
Dstl has a scholarship scheme available to students who have completed a work placement with us. In agreement with your line manager this can be made up of a monetary award, returning summer placements and a guaranteed Graduate interview.
Development
Year in Industry & Industrial Placements
During the placements students are invited to join development events to expand their skills in communication and presentation skills. These events take place quarterly and aid students in working towards an end of scheme presentation. These are skills which Dstl rate highly and benefit students when the return to their studies.
Alongside these development events activities are organised for students to hear from key speakers on careers in Dstl and Science, career planning and an understanding of Dstl’s business.
These are excellent networking opportunities for students to not only get to know other students within Dstl, but recent graduates and recruiting line managers of the future.
All students are assigned mentors and buddies during their placement that will support and guide the student through the technical requirement of their role.
