Dstl's Sensors and Countermeasures Department undertakes research and evaluates technological solutions and advice for a range of critical problems. We provide the capability to understand threats and exploit sensor and countermeasure technology for MOD.
This work is immensely interesting and constantly challenging. Join our team of Scientists and Engineers and you'll be able to experiment, innovate and find creative solutions to some of the UK's most sensitive projects. What's more, you'll be responsible for work that makes a very real difference to the protection of lives at sea, on land and in the air.

Our specific vacancies are grouped into the following areas:
- Sensor Systems: Expert advice on individual and multiple sensor systems for all military platforms in all domains and environments.
- EO Protection: Using Electro Optic systems to counter EO threats.
- Threat Evaluation: Supporting military tactics and countermeasure development.
- Electronic Warfare and Navigation: Devise and utilise electronic systems to determine the disposition and intent of our adversaries.
- RF Countermeasures: Developing ways of using Radio Frequency systems to protect the armed forces.
