EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council)
The EPSRC has provided funds to support new UK teams that are just starting to get going in the competition. In this second year all UK teams will be eligible however in subsequent years new teams will be favoured over the more established ones.

Applications for an award should be submitted to Dr Yvan Petillot and copied to Phil Brown.

In the first instance up to £3000 for material items plus up to £2000 for competition travel expenses may be available. The final amount will be dependant upon the number of applicants and the merit of the proposal.

Once a decision has been made the teams will receive a letter of intent indicating a guarantee of funding. The award will be presented after the teams have participated in the competition event - including, attendance with their vehicle, presentation of their journal paper and publication of their web site.
